Liz Truss, launched the inaugural episode of her online program with a pledge to unmask "the evil-doers" attempting to weaken Western democracies. Truss elaborated she would reveal how an "international network of leftists operate to subvert popular rule and the electorate's mandate."

"Our focus will be on the political movement of Donald Trump and see how this can be replicated in Britain," the former PM stated. "We will interview the leading lights of the Make America Great Again campaign."

Prior to the show's launch, there was one particularly enthusiastic supporter. "This marks the start of a sort of political shift," stated John Solomon. His conservative Just the News will publish the former prime minister's new broadcasts.

Forging Alliances in the Conservative Media Landscape

UK-based allies, featuring a pro-Reform adviser, assisted in her set up the her new show. The setup is adequate, if somewhat rudimentary. Truss has amassed 10,000 subscribers in her initial seven days and her premiere achieved sixty-seven thousand views during that week.

This represents a humble beginning, but in aligning with Solomon, Truss is being entering a well-developed right-wing media network producing and amplifying Make America Great Again themes. Key fixations include claims of media suppression by the mainstream media and a aim to remove a so-called administrative state – which Truss blames for the rapid conclusion of her disastrous time in office.

A Divisive Associate

Her effort to transplant Maga media to the UK has aligned her more closely to controversial figures such as Solomon.

He established the platform following backlash following accusations of pushing inaccurate reports about Biden's anti-corruption work in the Ukraine, as well as disputed reports about the former US ambassador to that country.

Solomon's reporting were repeated across the pro-Trump media, with Solomon serving as a regular guest on the prominent cable news broadcast. Trump himself endorsed Solomon's reporting.

Solomon made the reports about Ukraine in a series of columns for the publication the Hill, where he was moved to a columnist role when staffers raised concerns regarding his reporting. Shortly after Solomon left the Hill in October 2019, the outlet revealed it was conducting a review of his columns about Ukrainian matters. It concluded the journalist had used questionable informants and stated he "did not disclose important details about primary contacts in Ukraine, specifically the detail that they had been formally accused or were the subject of inquiries."

Entering the Ecosystem

The journalist's personal TV and radio guest spots are a example of the right-wing media network Liz Truss is entering. He discussed his support for the program on a show he co-hosts on the conservative cable network, a conservative television outlet that is where you find the pro-Trump commentator Steve Bannon and on which former Fox host Tucker Carlson also is seen.
